Skillet Carbonara Style Chicken


This easy carbonara chicken is packed with flavor that the entire family will devour!

Ingredients:

4 chicken breasts

1 cup plain flour

2 Tablespoons butter

2 Tablespoons olive oil

1/2 cup parmesan, grated

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup parmesan, grated

1 cup bacon, diced

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, chopped

1/2 tsp black pepper

Directions:

Mix the flour with 1/2 cup parmesan, salt and pepper.

Dredge the chicken breasts in the parmesan flour.

Heat butter and oil over medium heat and add the chicken.

Fry until each side is nice and crisp and golden - about 4 minutes per side (depending on size of breasts). Set aside on a warm plate.

In the same pan, add the bacon. Fry until turning crisp then add the onions and garlic. Fry for a few minutes until translucent.

Add the cream and stir to combine.

Season with pepper and then stir through the parmesan before returning the breasts to the pan.

Spoon over the sauce and heat the chicken through- then serve with a little sauce spooned over the top.
