Texas Roadhouse Dinner Rolls
If you're craving warm, heavenly dinner rolls, try this Texas Roadhouse copycat recipe! Perfect on own with brushed butter on top, but for those of you that enjoy the cinnamon butter they serve with these in the restaurant, the recipe for the cinnamon butter is at the bottom. This recipe makes 18 rolls.
Ingredients:
2 1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast
1/4 cup lukewarm water
1 teaspoon sugar (to activate the yeast)
1 cup lukewarm milk
3 Tablespoon melted butter
1/4 cup sugar
4 cups flour
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
Melted butter, for brushing on top
Directions:
Mix the yeast, lukewarm water, and teaspoon sugar in a stand mixer and let sit for 10 minutes.
Pour in the milk, melted butter, and sugar.
Stir it well and slowly add 1 1/2 cups of flour.
Add the egg and salt until incorporated.
Run the mixer on medium while adding the rest of the flour. Mix for 5 minutes until smooth.
Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
Place dough in a bowl and cover. Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
Punch the dough down and roll into a square.
Cut the dough into squares and place them on a baking sheet.
Cover and let rise another 45 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake for 15 minutes until the tops are golden brown.
Brush with melted butter and serve.

1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
