Beef Goulash


This goulash recipe is a family favorite that is simple, delicious and perfect for dinner any day of the week.

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef

1 small onion, diced

1 small green bell pepper, diced

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 Tablespoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

2 (16 ounce) cans tomato sauce*

1 Tablespoon garlic powder

2 Tablespoons oregano

1 teaspoon basil

12 ounces elbow macaroni

*Note: Original recipe called for 1 can tomato sauce and 1 can undrained petite diced tomatoes, but

I prefer to use all tomato sauce instead

Directions:

Combine ground beef, onion, bell pepper, minced garlic, salt and black pepper in a large saucepan. Cook and stir until meat is brown and vegetables are tender. Drain grease.

Stir tomato sauce into the pan.

Season with garlic powder, oregano, and basil.

Simmer sauce for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

While sauce is simmering, cook pasta until tender. Drain.

Mix sauce together with pasta.

Serve and enjoy!
