Fruity Cream Cheese Morning Rolls (Apple shown)


Easy and quicker to make than the drive to the bakery

Ingredients:

2 Tablespoons granulated sugar

1 (8 oz) package crescent dough sheet

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup jam (preferred fruit choice) or pie filling (blend to make into puree)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Spray the wells of a 12-muffin tin with nonstick spray.

Sprinkle granulated sugar onto a work surface.

Gently unfold a piece of crescent dough onto the sugar.

Evenly spread cream cheese onto the dough.

Top with the jam or pie filling.

Tightly roll dough away from you into a log.

Slice into 12 even pieces (or 8 for larger rolls).

Place each piece cut-side up into prepared tin.

Bake 12 to 15 minutes (longer if larger rolls) until golden and flaky

Let cool 2 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
