Garlic Parmesan Green Bean Almondine


A twist on the classic dish with green beans tossed in lemon garlic butter with Parmesan cheese and toasted almonds.

Ingredients:

1 pound green beans (fresh or frozen)

3 - 4 tablespoons butter

3 cloves minced garlic

2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

3 - 4 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup sliced almonds

salt and pepper

Instructions:

Steam the green beans until fork tender.

In an 8-inch frying pan melt the butter over medium-low heat.

Add the garlic and lemon juice. Cook about 2 - 3 minutes until fragrant.

Add green beans and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, toss well.

Season with salt and pepper. Remove to a platter.

Toast almonds in pan over medium heat. Stir often until lightly golden.

Add almonds to green beans and toss gently.

Serve immediately.
