Chili Cheese Dog Bake
May never eat chili dogs the regular way again. No messy soft bun trying to fall apart quicker than you can eat.
Ingredients:
8 hot dog buns, cut or torn into approx. 2" pieces
8 hot dogs, sliced into approx. 2" pieces.
2 (14 oz.) cans of chili beans
8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
4 green onions, chopped, to garnish, if desired
1/2 cup sour cream, to serve, if desired
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Lightly grease the bottom of a 13” X 9” casserole dish.
Place hot dog buns in a casserole dish, covering the bottom of the dish entirely.
Evenly spread hot dogs over the buns.
Spoon the chili over the top of hot dogs.
Top with the shredded cheddar cheese.
Place in the oven, covered, for 30 minutes.
Remove from the oven.
Garnish with green onions.
Serve immediately with a spoonful of sour cream, if desired
