Apple Cider Glazed Pork Chops
A new way to enjoy pork chops.
Even my daughter - who will normally NOT eat pork - tried due to the Apple Cider Glaze and LOVED them.
Ingredients:
4 center-cut pork chops
Salt and pepper, to taste
Garlic powder, to taste (original recipe did not call for, but I use garlic for almost all meat)
2 Tablespoons oil
1 1/2 cups apple cider
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
Directions:
Season pork chops with salt and pepper (and garlic, if using).
In 10-inch skillet, heat 2 tablespoons oil over medium-high heat.
Cook pork chops in oil about 3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
Remove pork chops from skillet. Place in oven to keep warm at 180°F until glaze ready.
In same skillet, add apple cider and brown sugar.
Cook sugar mixture to a syrupy glaze and until reduced by about half.
Stir in mustard.
Pour glaze over pork chops for serving.
