Cinnamon Roll Apple Bake
This is a delicious breakfast...
or can serve as dessert!
Why not do as I did...make for breakfast, then serve leftovers as dessert after dinner. Microwave to warm piece of cake and serve with ice cream on top.
Ingredients:
3 packs cinnamon roll dough with icing 6 eggs ¾ cup milk 1 tablespoon cinnamon 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract 3 tablespoons butter 3 granny smith apples, diced 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
Optional: Vanilla ice cream if serving as dessert
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F.
In a pan over medium heat, combine butter, apples, and brown sugar, cooking until sugar starts to caramelize, about 10 minutes. Stirring occasionally, as needed.
While apples cooking, in a medium bowl, combine eggs, milk, cinnamon, and extract, stirring until smooth. Set aside.
Cut the cinnamon roll dough into 3 even strips, then cut those strip in 3 pieces, making 9 pieces total per cinnamon roll. Set aside the icing.
Sprinkle the cinnamon roll dough pieces evenly in a 13”×9” baking pan. Pour the egg mixture on top, followed by the apples.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden brown.
Drizzle the reserved icing on top.
If made for dessert, serve immediately from oven with a scoop of ice cream on top!
