Mozzarella Pepperoni “Pizza” Eggs Rolls

If you enjoy pizza, mozzarella sticks, or egg rolls....you'll love this simple recipe - the best of all worlds!
A huge hit around here!
Ingredients:
16 egg roll wrappers
48 - 64 slices pepperoni (depends on if use 3 or 4 slices per roll)
16 pieces mozzarella string cheese
Oil for deep frying
Marinara or pizza sauce
Water or 1 beaten egg for egg wash to seal
Directions:
On top of an egg roll wrapper, place 3 or 4 pieces of pepperoni.
Place a piece of string cheese on top.

Moisten corners with water or egg wash to seal. (I prefer egg wash as it forms a better seal)

Fold bottom corner over cheese and pepperoni.
Fold sides to form envelope shape.

Roll until tightly sealed.


Repeat with the rest of wrappers, cheese and pepperoni.
In a skillet, heat oil to 375°F.
Fry rolls, a few at a time, for 30-60 seconds on each side until completely brown.
Drain on paper towels.
Serve with sauce for dipping.
